Dear Tyson Foods,
It has come to my attention that the FDA is planning to allow milk and meat from cloned animals and
their offspring into the food supply, without labels. I am highly concerned about this, since cloning is
associated with a tremendous amount of animal suffering, and cloned foods have not been convincingly shown
to be safe to consume.
You state on your website that you are a company whose core values include providing the world with "trusted
food products" and serving as "stewards of the animals, land, and environment." As such, I hope that you will
be responsive to my concerns. Please do everything you can to make sure that products from cloned animals and
their offspring do not appear in my grocery stores or restaurants. Cloning is cruel and unnecessary.
Sincerely,
|
